In March, manufacturing production increased by 0.8% Industrial production index - March 2010

In March 2010, the manufacturing production increased (+0.8%), after +0.3% in February (initially announced at +0.4%). The March production was boosted by the “Other manufacturing” sector (+1.2%) and, to a lesser extent, by the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+13.7%) and the electrical and electronic equipment industry (+0.8 %).

In March 2010, the manufacturing production increased (+0.8%), after +0.3% in February (initially announced at +0.4%). The March production was boosted by the “Other manufacturing” sector (+1.2%) and, to a lesser extent, by the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+13.7%) and the electrical and electronic equipment industry (+0.8 %).

The production of total industry also increased (+1.0% after +0.0% in February).

Please note: all the data are adjusted for seasonal variations (SA) and the number of days worked (WDA).
