In June 2010, the consumer price index (CPI) was stable (+1.5% year-on-year), after a rising by 0.1% in May.

In June 2010, the consumer price index (CPI) was stable (+1.5% year-on-year), after a rising by 0.1% in May.

The price index without tobacco was also stable (+1.4% year-on-year).

Adjusted from seasonal variations, the monthly change went down by 0.1% (+1.5% year-on-year).

In June, decreases and increases made up for another end. General prices were pulled upwards by the seasonal growth in some services linked with tourism and by the price increase in fresh products. A contrario, the index registered this month the decrease of prices in energy prices and sales promotions on new cars.

Prices of services went up

Prices of services went up in June 2010 (+0.2%; +1.3% year-on-year; +0.1% in June 2009).

Prices of energy products went down in June

In June, prices of energy products went down (–0.6%; +9.4% year-on-year), along with the recent drop of oil prices. Prices of fuel products decreased by 1.1% this month (+13.0% year-on-year).

Prices of food products decreased slightly

Prices of food products decreased slightly in June 2010 (–0.2%; +1.3% year-on-year).

Prices of fresh products continue to grow (+0.2%; +2.0% in May 2010; +11.5% year-on-year).

Prices of food products except fresh products decreased slightly in June (–0.2%; –0.2% year-on-year).

Prices stability on manufactured products

In June, the prices of manufactured products were stable (–0.1% year-on-year). They were decreasing by 0.2% in June 2009, summer sales began one week before, last year.

Core-inflation increased slightly

Core-inflation (ISJ) increased slightly in June 2010 (+0.1%; +1.4% year-on-year), while it was stable in June 2009.

The harmonised consumer price index (HCPI) was stable (+1.7% year-on-year).
