In October 2009, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) decreased by 2.1%, after a decrease in Septembrer (-1,9%; first estimate: -1.8%).

In October 2009, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) decreased by 2.1%, after a decrease in Septembrer (-1,9%; first estimate: -1.8%).

Non domestic new orders went down in October (–2.7%).

On the last quarter, rise of new orders pulled up by the automobile sector

On the last quarter, new orders grew up: +4.2%. Non domestic new orders also increased (+4.3%).

New orders rose by 13.0% in automobile, by 2.8% in the other manufacturing and by 1.8% in “electrical and electronic equipment, and machinery”.

However, new orders level is still weak compared to last year

Despite their recent recovery, the quarterly level of new orders is lower than a year ago (-12.6%).
