In September 2009, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) decreased by 1.8% after two consecutive rises: +2.4% in August and +7.4% in July.

Non domestic new orders edged up in September (+0.3%).
In Q3 2009, a recovery pulled up by the automobile sector
In Q3, the resumption of new orders is marked: +8.7%. Non domestic new orders strongly increased (+14.2%).
In Q3, new orders bounced by 36.0% in automobile and rose by 4.7% in “electrical and electronic equipment, and machinery” and by 2.8% in other manufacturing.
However, new orders level is still weak compared to last year
Despite their recent recovery, the quarterly level of new orders is lower than a year ago (-15.3%).
