In October 2015, output decreased in the manufacturing industry (–0.5% after –0.1% in September). It increased in the industry as a whole (+0.5% after 0.0% in September).

Manufacturing output rose over the last three months of 2015 (+1.1%)

Over the last three months, output rose in the manufacturing sector (+1.1% q-o-q), and even more in the overall industry (+1.4%), due to sustained growth in mining, quarrying, energy and water supply (+2.7%).

In particular, output increased in other manufacturing (+0.8%). It rose sharply in the manufacture of transport equipment (+3.7%) and in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+8.6%), and moderately in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+0.8%). It remained virtually stable in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–0.1%).

Over the year, manufacturing output increased (+1.7%)

Manufacturing output of the last three months improved compared to the same months of 2014 (+1.7% y-o-y). For that same period, overall industrial output went up even more sharply (+2.3% y-o-y), as output surged in mining, quarrying, energy and water supply (+5.1%).

Over the year, output grew markedly in other manufacturing (+1.2%), in the manufacture of transport equipment (+3.8%) and in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment (+2.6%). It went up moderately in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.6%), and expanded significantly in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+3.0%).
