Objectifs :

The survey’s aim is to identify for each  network head company, the list of members establishments depending on their different forms of organisation (franchise networks, concessions, purchasing groups).

Thèmes abordés :

The main information collected about the members of the network are : brand name, link, a nine-figure identification number, mailing address and, for the retail network, sales area.

This survey is carried out among network heads (legal units) on all of their outlets. This survey is used to populate a register and should cover the exhaustiveness of the 1 500 retail networks and services to the end. The sectors surveyed are, in the NAF rev. 2, divisions 10 and 47 for retail networks and sectors I to S (except sectors K, O) for services networks.

Historique :

A pilot survey was conducted in 2010 on 315 networks to validate the organisation of data collection and to initialise a networks register. This survey is one of several surveys dealing with trading and  services. For the record, in addition the 2010 survey, the most recent surveys are the survey on retail trade networks in 2006-2007 and the survey on networks in services in 2008. The concept of “network” has been integrated to the Outlets retail survey in 2009.


Plan de sondage :

The survey file is created thanks to previous network surveys, professional press and contact with professional organisations. It contains 1500 networks.
