Définition
A household (or "ordinary household") in the sense of the census survey describes all the persons sharing the same main residence, without these persons necessarily being blood-related. A household can be constituted by a single person. There is equality between the number of households and the number of main residence.

This concept has not been used since August 2025. It has been replaced by concept c2355 "Household (in the sense of household-dwelling)".
