The use of administrative and private data sources is a line of progress that must be pursued in order to :

  • reduce the burden on respondents by replacing or simplifying existing surveys;
  • complete the range of statistics produced by the SSP by addressing new areas that meet the needs of users, including public policy makers;
  • production statistics more quickly or refined.

These data sources build out of the SSP are administrative or private. Their use should be developed, alone or in combination with other sources, while strengthening partnership relations with the producers concerned and processing methods to guarantee their quality. It will continue to be carried out within a framework that is respectful of people's lives, proportionate to needs and transparent (see. « A strong focus on stakeholders »).
