In September 2024, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased by 0.5% over a month, after +0.2% in August. In large and predominantly food stores, the prices decreased by 0.4% over a month, after +0.2% in August.

Excluding hyper and supermarkets, prices of frequently purchased goods were almost stable over a month (‑0,1%), after +0.5% in August.

Considering all kinds of stores, the prices of frequently purchased goods decreased by 0.3% over a month, after +0.4% in August.

Year on year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased again

Compared to those of the same month last year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased again: ‑0.8% in September 2024, as in August. In large and predominantly food stores, prices also decreased again year on year: ‑0.6% as in August.

Excluding hyper and supermarkets, the prices of frequently purchased goods slowed down slightly year on year: +0.6%, after +0.7% in August.

Considering all types of stores, the prices of frequently purchased goods were almost stable year on year (‑0.1%), as in August.

Year on year, food prices in hyper and supermarkets decreased again

Month on month, the prices of food and beverages (excluding fresh produces) sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased anew in September 2024: ‑0.4%, after +0.1% in August. Year on year, these prices decreased again: ‑0.4% in September, as in August.

The prices of meat sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased anew over one month: ‑0,5% after +0.2% in August. Year on year, they decreased again: ‑1.6%, after ‑1.4% in August.

The prices of beverages sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased anew: ‑0.4% in September, after +0.4% in August. Year on year, they increased slightly: +0.3%, after +0.2% in August.

The prices of “other food products” decreased anew (‑0.3%), after being stable in August. Year on year, they fell again: ‑0.3%, as in August.

Year on year, the prices of cleaning and personal care products decreased again

Month on month, the prices of cleaning and personal care products sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased anew: ‑1.0% after +0.3% in August. Year on year, their decline increased slightly: ‑2.5%, after ‑2.4% in August.
