The balances of opinion related to the activity have increased
In March 2024, the balances of opinion on the general business outlook and the ordering intentions have recovered. The former has moved away from its long-term average while the latter has moved just above its own. The balance on the past sales has partially rebounded but remains below its average. The one on the expected sales has increased again for its part and is back to its average level.
Furthermore, the balance of opinion associated with the past change in the workforce size is back on the rise, while the one related to its expected change has retreated slightly. Both of them remain below their average.
The balance of opinion associated with the current level of stocks has diminished again but remains above its average. Finally, more business managers consider that the evolution of their business situation is difficult to forecast compared to the previous month.
