In November 2022, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets rose by 1.4% over a month, after +1.6% in October. In large and predominantly food stores, these prices increased by 1.3% over a month, after +1.5% in October.

Excluding hyper and supermarkets, prices rose by 1.0% over a month, after +1.3% in October.

Considering all kinds of stores, the prices of frequently purchased goods increased by 1.2% over a month, after +1.5% in October.

Year on year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets accelerated for the twelfth consecutive month

Compared to those of the same month last year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets accelerated in November 2022 for the twelfth consecutive month: +11.7% over a year, after +10.6% in October. In large and predominantly food stores, the prices rose also by 11.7% year on year, after +10.6% in October.

Excluding hyper and supermarkets, the prices of frequently purchased goods increased by 11.6% year on year, after +10.6% in October.

Considering all types of stores, the prices of frequently purchased goods rose also by 11.6% year on year, after +10.6% in October.

Year on year, food prices in hyper and supermarkets accelerated again

Month on month, the prices of food (excluding fresh produces) sold in hyper and supermarkets rose by 1.3% in November 2022, after +1.4% in October. Year on year, these prices accelerated for the thirteenth consecutive month: +12.3% in November, after +11.2% in October.

The prices of meat sold in hyper and supermarkets rose by 1.6% month on month, after +1.4% in October. Year on year, these prices accelerated: +14.4%, after +13.0% in October.

The prices of beverages sold in hyper and supermarkets rose by 1.0% over a month, at the same pace as in October. Year on year, they accelerated: +7.9%, after +7.3% in October.

The prices of “other food products” increased by 1.3% over a month, after +1.6% in October. Year on year, the prices of these products accelerated: +13.1%, after +11.9% in October.

Year on year, the prices of cleaning and personal care products also accelerated

Month on month, the prices of cleaning and personal care products sold in hyper and supermarkets increased again: +1.7%, after +2.2% in October. Year on year, they accelerated for the sixth consecutive month: +8.9%, after +7.5% in October.
