In January 2022, a rebound in the volume of sales in wholesale trade and retail trade, but not in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles

In January 2022, the volume of sales in wholesale trade recovered (+1.1% after −1.7% in December 2021), especially in "other machinery, equipment and supplies" (+5.2% after −1.6%). It, however, kept decreasing in food, beverages and tobacco (−1.4% after −2.5%).

In January 2022, the volume of sales decreased slightly in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (−0.2% after +0.3% in December 2021). While it fell back in the sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories (−1.8% after +2.1%), it grew slightly in the sale of motor vehicles (+0.2% after a virtual stability in December 2021).
