In Q3 2021, the production costs in construction rose by 2.3% over a quarter, after +0.9% in the previous quarter. They accelerated both in specialized construction works (+2.1% after +0.6%), in civil engineering (+2.9% after +2.1%) and in buildings construction (+2.6% after +0.9%). This acceleration was mainly due to the increase in material costs, especially steel products, and energy costs.

Year on year, the production costs for construction went up by 4.2% in Q3 2021 (after +2.1% in the previous quarter). They clearly sped up in specialized construction works (+3.5% after +1.1%) and in buildings construction (+4.9% after +2.0%). They continued to rise strongly in civil engineering (+7.0% after +6.7%).
