In October, the volume of sales in retail trade bounced back (+2.4% after −3.6% in September). Each sector contributed to this rebound: non-specialised stores (+3.9% after −2.7% in September), specialised stores (+1.2% after −4.4%) and retail trade not in stores (+3.8% after −2.2%). This upward trend was observed most notably among specialised stores, in which the strongest growth concerned information and communication equipment (+4.0% after −11.1% in September), retail sale of other household equipment (furniture, appliances, hardware, etc.: +3.0% after −3.1%) and food, beverages and tobacco (+1.4% after −2.0%).
