In November 2020, the turnover in large-scale food retailing fell sharply (−10.5% after +2.6% in October), due to the second lockdown. The turnover declined moderately in food products (−2.3% after +3.6%), while it fell drastically in non-food products (−24.3% after +2.7%), because supermarkets and hypermarkets were requested not to sell ''non-essential'' goods. Sales of automotive fuel also collapsed (−29.5% after −2.5% in October).
Turnover declined less in supermarkets (−6.0% after +1.1%) than in hypermarkets (−12.5% after +3.4%).

In November 2020, the turnover in large-scale food retailing fell sharply (−10.5% after +2.6% in October), due to the second lockdown. The turnover declined moderately in food products (−2.3% after +3.6%), while it fell drastically in non-food products (−24.3% after +2.7%), because supermarkets and hypermarkets were requested not to sell ''non-essential'' goods. Decrease over a year (−2.3%)
The turnover of the past three months (September to November) in large-scale food retailing decreased (−2.3%) compared to the same period one year earlier. Over that period, sales rose in food products (+3.1%). On the contrary, sales decreased in non-food products (−2.8%) and collapsed in automotive fuel (−25.4%).
Year on year, sales fell less markedly in supermarkets (−0.6%) than in hypermarkets (−4.3%).
