In Q1 2019, house prices were stable compared to the previous quarter. However, year on year, house prices kept increasing.

Year on year, house prices kept rising
In Q1 2019, house prices were stable compared to the previous quarter (0.0%, not-seasonally adjusted data). Both second-hand dwelling prices and new dwelling prices were stable compared to the previous quarter (0.0% for both indexes, after –0.4% the previous quarter for second-hand dweelling prices and +1.8% for new dwelling prices).
However, year on year, house prices kept increasing (+2.9% after +3.2% the previous quarter). Second-hand dwelling prices grew slightly faster (+3.0% y-o-y) than new dwelling prices (+2.4%).

The index of Q4 2018 was revised to include observations recorded after the previous publication. Nonetheless, the year on year variation in housing prices in Q4 2018 is unchanged compared to the previous publication (+3.2%).
