According to the business leaders interviewed in January 2012, the situation in the retail trade and in the trade and repair of motor vehicles becomes worse: the synthetic indicator drops and is from now on clearly below its long-term average.

Recent sales go on slowing down, especially in trade and repair of motor vehicles. Expected sales and ordering intentions slow down too, each of the three balances staying significantly below its average. General business outlook declines again, sign that the retailers are more and more pessimistic about the economic situation in the trade sector.
