In June 2012, the consumer prices index (CPI) was steady, after a decrease by 0.1% in May. The year-on-year change was +1.9%. The price index without tobacco was also steady (+1.9% year-on-year). Adjusted from seasonal variations, the monthly change went up by 0.1% (+2.0% year-on-year).

In June 2012, the consumer prices index (CPI) was steady, after a decrease by 0.1% in May. The year-on-year change was +1.9%. The price index without tobacco was also steady (+1.9% year-on-year). Adjusted from seasonal variations, the monthly change went up by 0.1% (+2.0% year-on-year).
In June 2012, decreases and increases offset each other: prices of energy went down, while prices of food products and tourist services went up. Prices of manufactured products increased slightly.
Prices of energy were weakened once more
In June 2012, prices of energy were weakened once more (—2.1%, after —1.5% in May; +3.3% year-on-year). In the wake of the decline of fuel products rates, prices of fuel products went down (—3.5%; +3.3% year-on-year).
Seasonal increase of prices of services
In June 2012, prices of services were increasing (+0.3%; +1.7% year-on-year). With the beginning of the summer period, prices of tourism services went up. Increase of taxes were visible on the prices of services of maintenance of personal cars (+1.0%; +3.2% year-on-year) and on those of paramedical services (+0.7%; +0.7% year-on-year).
Prices of food products went up
Prices of food products went up by 0.4% in June 2012 (+3.2% year-on-year). After an increase by 3.0% in May, prices of fresh products continued to grow (+2.9%; +7.8% year-on-year). Weather conditions, unfavourable for the production, explained, for the main part, the increase of prices of fresh fruits (+11.8%; +9.6% year-on-year).

A contrario, for seasonal reasons, prices of fresh vegetables were decreasing (—2.8%; +8.8% year-on-year). Prices of food products except fresh products were steady (+2.5% year-on-year).
Slight rise of prices of manufactured products
In June 2012, prices of manufactured products were rising slightly (+0.1%; +1.0% year-on-year). Prices of clothing and footwear were growing by 0.6% (+4.0% year-on-year), while they were decreasing by 1.0% in June 2011: 2012 summer sales began one week after than last year.
Slight increase of core-inflation
Core-inflation (ISJ) was increasing slightly in June 2012 (+0.2%; +1.5% year-on-year).
The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) went up by 0.1% (+2.3% year-on-year).
