  • 01/01/2019 – Melle devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Melle (79174) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Melle en lieu et place des communes de Mazières-sur-Béronne (79173), de Melle (79174), de Paizay-le-Tort (79199), de Saint-Léger-de-la-Martinière (79264) et de Saint-Martin-lès-Melle (79279) devenues déléguées.
