  • 01/01/2019 – Chail devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Fontivillié (79064) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Fontivillié en lieu et place des communes de Chail (79064) et de Sompt (79314) devenues déléguées.
