This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2013:

  • 01/01/2016 – Livarot devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Livarot-Pays-d'Auge (14371) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Livarot-Pays-d'Auge en lieu et place des communes d'Auquainville (14028), des Autels-Saint-Bazile (14029), de Bellou (14058), de Cerqueux (14148), de Cheffreville-Tonnencourt (14155), de La Croupte (14210), de Familly (14259), de Fervaques (14265), de Heurtevent (14330), de Livarot (14371), du Mesnil-Bacley (14414), du Mesnil-Durand (14418), du Mesnil-Germain (14420), de Meulles (14429), des Moutiers-Hubert (14459), de Notre-Dame-de-Courson (14471), de Préaux-Saint-Sébastien (14518), de Sainte-Marguerite-des-Loges (14615), de Saint-Martin-du-Mesnil-Oury (14633), de Saint-Michel-de-Livet (14634), de Saint-Ouen-le-Houx (14638) et de Tortisambert (14696) devenues déléguées.
