This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012 :

  • 01/01/2019 – Saint-Genix-sur-Guiers devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Saint-Genix-les-Villages (73236) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Saint-Genix-les-Villages en lieu et place des communes de Gresin (73127), de Saint-Genix-sur-Guiers (73236) et de Saint-Maurice-de-Rotherens (73260) devenues déléguées.
