at work in 2021
In 2021, 9.1% of the employed people said that they had experienced unequal treatments or discriminations in their current job, sexism being the main reason. This situation was mostly declared among people reporting a poor state of health (23.4%) and among women (11.3%). The latter said that in 30% of cases it was due to their gender.
The proportion of employed migrants who said that they had experienced unequal treatments or discriminations (9.5%) is similar to the average, but 57% of them declared their origins as the main reason for discrimination.
Suffering unequal treatments or discriminations at work highly decreased work satisfaction: only 62% of the concerned people said that they were satisfied with their job compared to 90% of the others; 33% of the former wanted to change job, compared to 11% of the latter.
