This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – La Verrie devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Chanverrie (85302) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Chanverrie en lieu et place des communes de Chambretaud (85048) et de La Verrie (85302) devenues déléguées.
