This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – Argenton-l'Église devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Loretz-d'Argenton (79014) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Loretz-d'Argenton en lieu et place des communes d'Argenton-l'Église (79014) et de Bouillé-Loretz (79043).
