This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – Saint-Léger-des-Bois devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Saint-Léger-de-Linières (49298) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Saint-Léger-de-Linières en lieu et place des communes de Saint-Jean-de-Linières (49289) et de Saint-Léger-des-Bois (49298) devenues déléguées.
