This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – Janville devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Janville-en-Beauce (28199) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Janville-en-Beauce en lieu et place des communes d'Allaines-Mervilliers (28002), de Janville (28199) et du Puiset (28311) devenues déléguées.
