This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2016 – Ornans devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein d'Ornans (25434) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Ornans en lieu et place des communes de Bonnevaux-le-Prieuré (25076) et d'Ornans (25434) devenues déléguées.
