This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2016 – Beaumesnil devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Mesnil-en-Ouche (27049) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Mesnil-en-Ouche en lieu et place des communes d'Ajou (27007), de La Barre-en-Ouche (27041), de Beaumesnil (27049), de Bosc-Renoult-en-Ouche (27088), d'Épinay (27221), de Gisay-la-Coudre (27283), de Gouttières (27292), de Granchain (27296), de Jonquerets-de-Livet (27356), de Landepéreuse (27362), de La Roussière (27499), de Saint-Aubin-des-Hayes (27513), de Saint-Aubin-le-Guichard (27515), de Sainte-Marguerite-en-Ouche (27566), de Saint-Pierre-du-Mesnil (27596) et de Thevray (27628) devenues déléguées.
