This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2018 – Saint-Angeau devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Val-de-Bonnieure (16300) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2018 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Val-de-Bonnieure en lieu et place des communes de Saint-Amant-de-Bonnieure (16296), de Saint-Angeau (16300) et de Sainte-Colombe (16309) devenues déléguées.
