This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2016 – Conques devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Conques-en-Rouergue (12076) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Conques-en-Rouergue en lieu et place des communes de Conques (12076), de Grand-Vabre (12114), de Noailhac (12173) et de Saint-Cyprien-sur-Dourdou (12218) devenues déléguées.
