This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2017 – La Gacilly devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de La Gacilly (56061) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle de La Gacilly en lieu et place des communes de La Chapelle-Gaceline (56038), de La Gacilly (56061) et de Glénac (56064) devenues déléguées.
