  • 01/01/2016 – Mortain devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Mortain-Bocage (50359) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Mortain-Bocage en lieu et place des communes de Bion (50056), de Mortain (50359), de Notre-Dame-du-Touchet (50381), de Saint-Jean-du-Corail (50494) et de Villechien (50638) devenues déléguées.
