This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – Ambillou-Château devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Tuffalun (49003) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Tuffalun en lieu et place des communes d'Ambillou-Château (49003), de Louerre (49181) et de Noyant-la-Plaine (49230) devenues déléguées.
