This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – La Chapelle-du-Lou devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de La Chapelle du Lou du Lac (35060) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de La Chapelle du Lou du Lac en lieu et place des communes de La Chapelle-du-Lou (35060) et du Lou-du-Lac (35158) devenues déléguées.
