This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – Quillan (commune chef-lieu) est rattachée à Quillan (11304) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Quillan en lieu et place des communes de Brenac (11050) et de Quillan (11304).
