By the end of 2020, France’s national wealth (or net worth) amounted to 17,682 billion euros, or 9.6 times its net domestic product. The same factor in non-financial corporations grew at a faster pace than the previous year (+11.2% after +4.3% in 2019) and amounted to 3,372 billion euros. Financial corporations net worth increased as well (+23.0%) reaching 682 billion euros, driven by the rise of their financial wealth. In contrast, net wealth of public administration decreased considerably (–126 billion euros) due to the increased debt to finance income support; it amounted to 189 billion euros.
