In 2018, the value added of non-financial market services increased at almost the same rate as in 2017 (+3.4% after +3.3% in volume). Services production accelerated (+4.0% after +3.4%), driven by scientific and technical activities and real estate activities.

Demand for non-financial market services remains strong in 2018, despite the economic slowdown. Intermediate consumption of services is dynamic (+3.9% after +3.7%) and household consumption expenditure remains on a positive trend (+2.3% after +2.2%). Exports of services are on the rise again and the external trade balance is rising sharply. Only investment is slowing down after leaping in 2017.
