Wage income was €20,350 on average in 2013

The annual wage income, which is the sum of all net wages earned by a person in a year, was €20,350 on average in 2013. It was 0.4% lower than its 2012 level. There was a slightly sharper decline in the public sector. The wage income of managers was three times greater on average than that of workers or employees. Wage incomes were more dispersed in particular for those aged under 25, workers and employees as well as for private sector employees.
