Evaluation of a 2015-2016 electoral review in two stages

The 2015-2016 electoral review took place in an unusual way, with an exceptional reopening of electoral rolls during the year. Nearly 830,000 voters were registered by September 2015 and took advantage of this measure. Registrations nonetheless remained fairly numerous during the last quarter. In all, after declining slightly during the 2014-2015 electoral review, the electorate increased moderately throughout the 2015-2016 review. It stood at 44.8 million voters on 1st March 2016, i.e. 211,000 additional voters.
