Agro-food industry: activity with mixed results
In 2014, the decline in agro-food production eased off, the trade surplus decreased slightly because of the drop in exports and employment was no longer in decline. In 2013, the agro-food industry (excluding tobacco) included 60,500 enterprises, generated turnover of 184 billion euros and contributed 18% of value added in the manufacturing industry. The sector has 522,000 employees.
