In 2009, the average full-time equivalent (FTE) wage of a person working in the private or semi-public sector was 2,708 euros a month gross and 2,042 euros net of all deductions at source. Wage ranges remained stable overall; but the highest wages (99th percentile) decreased by 1.1%. In FTE, women’s wages rose more than men’s but remained lower by 20% on average.
