Wages in the local civil service – In 2011, a 0.8% drop in constant euros

In 2011, a full-time equivalent local civil servant was paid an average net monthly wage of 1823 euros. Between 2010 and 2011, the average net wage grew by 1.3% in current euros. When inflation is taken into account (+ 2.1% in 2011) the net wage drops by 0.8% in constant euros against 2010. It slipped back by 0.9% for office-holders and grew by 0.3% for other employees. The median net wage stood at 1635 euros per month in 2011. It was 10% lower than the mean net wage and fell by 0.8% in constant euros between 2010 and 2011. For the people working in 2010 and 2011 with the same employer and with an identical workload share, the mean net wage progressed slightly, by 0.2% in constant euros.
