Survey of attendance in tourist accommodation

The visitor survey in tourist accommodation aims at the cyclical observation of attendance and the study of the structure of the clientele, including its geographical origin.

It provides a response to Eurostat regulation 692/2011 relating to tourism statistics.

It covers three types of establishments: hotels, campsites and other collective tourist accommodation (hostels, international centers of residence, sports centers, tourist residences and residential hotels, family holiday homes and holiday villages).

The information is produced at the national, regional or even sub-regional levels.

Since 2019, the three survey segments (hotels, campsites and other collective tourist accommodation) were grouped together in a single operation.
