Definition

The internal classification number (NIC) corresponds to the five figures added to the Siren number to make up the Siret number of a local unit. This number is assigned by Sirene when the establishment is created.

Side note

The NIC is not significant. It does not contain a code characterising the activity or location of the establishments.
