Définition
The civil service employs tenured civil and military personnel, non-tenured personnel (contractual, contractors...), with particular status (hospitable practitioners, maternal assistants, public-sector workers, teachers of private schools under contract) and beneficiaries of state-aided contract.
Tenured personnel are civil servants, the military, or magistrates having passed a civil service competitions or become tenured further an establishment plan. In certain cases, a personal can become a tenured category C without having spent a competition.
They belong to corps grouped into categories according to their level of recruitment examination :
- category A staff fulfil general study, design and management functions ;
- category B staff are responsible for application ;
- category C staff perform execution tasks.
