In the autumn of each year, the Government presents its draft budget for France for the following year which, in a single document, includes all the income and expenditure of the State. This draft budget law (PLF) proposes the nature, the amount and the allocation of the resources and overheads of the State according to a given economic and financial balance. It is examined by Parliament and then put to the vote within a maximum period of 70 days following its filing.
