Court decision declaring a person guilty of having committed an offense and imposing a penalty or sanction. There are two types of penalties: penalties, applicable to minors and adults, and penalties and educational measures, reserved only for minors. When it becomes final, that is to say when it is no longer subject to appeal, the criminal conviction is entered in the national criminal record, it being specified that a conviction pronounced by default, although not final, is also entered in the national criminal record.
