Définition

The apprenticeship contract is an employment contract between an employer and a young person aged 16 to 29 who has completed his/her compulsory schooling (derogations are possible).

The duration of the contract varies from 6 months to 3 years, depending on the occupation and qualification. Pay varies according to the apprentices' ages and their tenures in training. The employers benefit from public subsidies.
