Définition

The turnover indices for the industrial and construction sectors allow monthly measurement of developments in the value of business conducted by companies in the sectors concerned. These indices are generated each month on the basis of monthly declarations made by companies included in the standard tax system for VAT payment, and they are calculated in current Euros before tax.

These indices are defined at the finest level of the French classification of activities (at the sub-class level of the second revision of the classification scheme) then collated to give indices corresponding to the different levels of the various composite classifications (NA, NACE). The series are published raw or seasonally and calendar-effect adjusted.
